The purpose of this non-traditional form of bodywork is to shift the basic shape and structure your body has adopted over time. Our life experiences weave a tapestry of tension patterns within the body that provide protection and comfort. Over a lifetime, these patterns can present as pain, recurrent thoughts or emotional, behavioral, or postural patterns.
Various techniques are employed to facilitate the release of these tension patterns and the narratives and beliefs that were held there. This work creates the opportunity for a new embodied shape to emerge with increased body awareness, decreased chronic physical tension, a widened range of mood, and deepened connection to yourself and others.
